Background

Here's a fun one: the same volunteers who keep this rink's ice in shape also run North Gower's own Gerry Lines Bowling Alley and put together the town's annual Winter Carnival. The North Gower Recreation Association clearly doesn't do winter by halves.

Permanent boards and lights make this a proper hockey setup that keeps going after dark, with the community centre right there for washrooms and a warm place to lace up. Volunteers from the community look after the ice, so conditions depend on how recently someone's been out, and there's no supervision or accessible access on site.
