With no lights, skating here is a daylight affair, but the arena beside it means a washroom and somewhere to lace up out of the cold. Seasonal boards make it workable for shinny, though the ice is looked after by volunteers and nobody's supervising, so conditions swing with the weather — puddling has been an issue.
